Time Up and Go Test).
Resumo: [en] This research seeks to build a reflection on the interaction between city, art and the individual from an interdisciplinary approach that allows to dilute the foundations of a specific field of knowledge and explore an intertwining of authors and concepts, having a phenomenological approach as a background. The objective is to follow a path of analysis that presents the possibility of manifestations, assigning value to experiences as a possible method in the articulation between memory and identity, citizenship and symbolic representation, placing the body as an agent of critical potential that from its power reaches the rupture of automatism and seeks the formulation of an imaginary that recognizes its instincts, desires and values. The course develops in three moments, delimiting a path of analysis that directs the thought formulated during the research. Initially, Christian Norberg-Schulz's (1976) approach to architectural views, philosophy by Gaston Bachelard (1993) and Giorgio Agamben (2009) and history by Michel de Certeau (2013), elucidating the individual's interaction with the place , and with his own body, to legitimize his identity and reinvent his daily life. In a second moment, the body gains prominence, using the philosophers Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guatarri (1996), the architect Vera Pallamim (2011) and the historian Ulpiano Bezerra de Meneses (2006) to understand the idea of the body as a living and functional system which, through experimental practice, extrapolates the generalities and reaches the particularities that define and express themselves in his imagination. Finally, the cut in the female body and its physical, social, historical and artistic interactions, having as reference the reflection of the philosopher Djamila Ribeiro (2017), pointing out the relevance in recognizing plural speeches and allowing their corresponding places of speech. This thought is related to the interpretation of the critical positioning of the artists Valie Export, Helena Almeida and Francesca Woodman, considered here as references for the proposal of an empirical study that composes a plot of rebellions and claim for women's rights inserted in their social and social context. urban. Aging is a natural process in which biological, psychological, and social components are modified and restructured. It has been widely proposed that the practice of physical exercises contributes to delay changes in aging. Various types of physical activities influence the behavior of the health aspects of the elderly, but few studies compare the effects of traditional physical exercises with Pilates, considered a mind-body activity. Thus, the present study aimed to compare the effects of the practice of traditional physical exercises and Pilates on the level of physical activity, self-perceived health, cognition, functional mobility, pain, and body image in the elderly. This is a crosssectional study, in which 30 elderly people (60 years old or more) were included, divided into 3 groups: Sedentary, Traditional Exercise Practitioners, and Pilates. All participants were evaluated regarding cognition, by (Mini-Mental State Examination), at the level of physical activity (International Physical Activity Questionnaire, IPAQ), functional mobility (Time Up and Go Test), intensity (Visual Scale pain), and subjective pain aspects (McGill Pain Questionnaire) and body image perception (CPI). Data analysis was performed using the GraphPad Prism 8.0 software and the significance level was set at 5% (p <0.05). In the present study, there was an absence of differences regarding the level of cognition assessed by the MMSE and functional mobility among the elderly participants in the different groups. However, it can be suggested that the practice of physical activity, regardless of whether it is traditional or Pilates, promotes a better perception of health and body image. And although practitioners of traditional physical activities have a higher level of physical activity, practitioners of the Pilates method had lower pain rates when compared to other groups. Although there are many doubts about the prescription of physical exercises, associating aerobic exercises, resistance exercises and those seeking interaction between the mind and body seems to be the best alternative, to the detriment of a sedentary lifestyle. Therefore, exercise programs must be individualized according to the specific needs of the elderly.
